Coffee products
Drink Uncharted connects you with communities near and far. Past, present, and future. Our coffee is sustainably and ethically sourced directly from farms, with an intentional focus on supporting communities of color, who are always paid direct-trade wages.
We exist to introduce coffee lovers to exciting, exotic and exclusive flavors while restoring, replenishing, and telling the stories of communities affected by the coffee industry’s dark history. We love to help our customers make educated choices that align with their values. We also hope to inspire others in our industry to work together to make things better. Buying from us directly supports local businesses and farmers, respecting fair trade conditions (fair pay in safe work conditions) and promoting practices that reduce harm to communities and ecosystems. Visit our About page to learn more.
We use plant-based compostable packaging to reduce the impact of waste on the environment. We keep beans fresh for 90 days after roasting, and recommend that they be consumed within three to four weeks after breaking the seal. Visit our Subscribe page to learn more.
In order to preserve flavor and aroma, we suggest keeping your coffee in an airtight container, in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat or moisture. We suggest that you avoid storing coffee in the freezer or in the fridge, to prevent freezer burn, potential mold growth and degradation of the coffee.
Coffee itself is naturally nut-free and gluten-free, and our roasting processes are too. However, we cannot guarantee that our coffee beans weren't exposed to these substances at some point during their life. For more information, please contact our Customer Support Team at hello@drinkuncharted.com.
We do not currently carry certified bird-friendly offerings, but many of the coffees we offer are grown in diverse shade habitats. Our products are sustainably and ethically sourced directly from coffee farmers, avoiding negative environmental impacts. For more information, please contact our Customer Support Team at hello@drinkuncharted.com.
Our Brooklyn production lab is not Kosher certified. However, our coffee beans are processed, roasted, and handled without coming into contact with other food products. If you need your coffee to be shipped specifically for Kosher needs, please contact our Customer Support Team at hello@drinkuncharted.com.

Coffee industry
Coffee is a foundation for connection, and we want coffee-lovers to feel connected to our brand and to the communities behind each unique roast. We work with farmers from all around the globe through direct-trade relationships, with an intentional focus on supporting communities of color.
Our products are sustainably and ethically sourced directly from coffee farmers, who are always paid direct-trade wages. “Direct trade” means a direct relationship between coffee producers and coffee roasters, bypassing traditional coffee supply chains. This provides a more transparent, equitable and sustainable alternative to the traditional coffee trade, which is often plagued by low prices and lack of transparency, and leads to exploitation of coffee producers and negative environmental impacts. Visit our About page to learn more.
Every roast is a celebration of coffee culture and a push to shift it. "Single-origin" originates from a single geographical location, a specific farm or region. Each of our selections have distinctive flavors and aromas exclusive to the region it was grown in. Our single origin coffee beans are premium, specialty products. We create unique and limited-edition roasts that excite coffee drinkers and elevate their experience. Visit our Subscribe page to learn more.
Coffee that’s roasted judiciously highlights unique flavors, similar to wine aging in a barrel. We’re always innovating, changing it up and keeping coffee lovers guessing, exploring and wanting more. We also honor processes, passed down from generation to generation. Our small-batches can be light, medium and dark roasts. "Light roast" coffee is roasted for a shorter amount of time, resulting in a lighter color and a milder taste. It has a higher acidity, a lighter body, and a bright and tangy flavor profile. "Medium" roast coffee is a bit darker in color and has a fuller body and a milder acidity. The flavor profile is generally described as a balance between the bright, tangy notes of a light roast and the toasty, caramelized flavors of a dark roast. "Dark roast" coffee, on the other hand, is roasted for a longer amount of time, resulting in a darker color and a stronger, bolder taste. It has a lower acidity, a heavier body, and a rich and robust flavor profile. Head to our Instagram page to chat more. Ask us any and all questions.
We love to help our customers make educated choices that align with their values. These terms are used to describe different qualities of coffee and refer to specific characteristics of the coffee beans and the way they are grown, processed and roasted.
"Organic coffee" is certified by agencies that verify it is grown using methods that are environmentally friendly and avoid the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and other harmful chemicals, according to specific standards. "Specialty coffee" is a high-quality coffee that is distinguished by its unique flavor profile and exceptional beans. It is typically grown in specific regions, processed in a way that enhances the coffee's natural flavors, and is often hand-picked and sun-dried. Specialty coffee is generally considered to be the highest-quality coffee available. While there can be overlap between the different categories, not all organic coffee is specialty coffee. "Premium coffee" is sometimes used to describe a higher-quality coffee, but it is not standardized or regulated as "organic" or "specialty" coffee. In general, premium coffee is considered to be of higher quality than standard commercial coffee, but it may not necessarily meet the strict criteria required for specialty coffee.
